If there is an outage of the SPIN API, you may not be able to initiate transactions on the dejavoo terminal from the POS.
In these cases, you can bypass the SPIN API and enter a transaction manually on the terminal by following these instructions
P1 / QD Devices
- Press the “Bypass” button in the top right of the screen.
- Manually enter the amount to charge the customer and press “OK”.
Z8 Devices
- Press F1
- Use the down arrow to select “SPIN Bypass”
- Press “OK”
- Enter password “1234” and press “OK”
- Manually key in the amount to charge customer and press “OK”
- Have customer complete transaction as normal.
Note that after doing these transactions there will be no record of it in the POS automatically. We recommend that you manually create the transactions in your POS and record them as “Cash” payments or otherwise adjust inventory in your POS to account for these transactions.
