Custom Sales provide a flexible way to ring up products or services that are not listed in your inventory. Once enabled, you can add a custom item directly from the checkout screen, enter the sale amount, and optionally include details such as a name, note, or cost. The custom item can then be processed through checkout like a standard sale.
Turn on Custom Sales
Steps
- Open the Material POS App on your iPad
- Go to Settings
- Make sure you are on the General Settings page
- Under the Checkout Settings, you will see Allow Custom Sales. Turn it on
Process a Custom Sale
Steps:
- Open the Checkout Page
- Click Add to cart under Custom Sales
- Enter the price you would like to sell the item for
- Optional: you can give the item a name, a note, and a cost
- Return to the Cart
- Proceed to Checkout like normal
