How to Add or Remove Cash From the Register

Throughout the day, you may need to add or remove cash from the cash drawer, and you will want to track these additions and removals so that you can have an accurate cash count at the end of the day.

Tracking cash movement can be done by viewing an open register report, and pressing the “Add Cash” or “Remove Cash” buttons.

  1. Tap the three bars at the top left of the screen
  1. Tap “View Register Session” (if a session is already open), otherwise click “Open Register”.

  1. On the register report screen, press “Add Cash” or “Remove Cash” and follow the prompts to specify the amount and a reason. The cash will be tracked and the individual transactions will show up on the closing report.
