Setting Up The Device

1. Turn your Genius Countertop upside–down and place it on a flat, stable surface.

2. Firmly press the flexible tabs and push up to remove the communications module.

3. Securely hold the communications module and slide out the metal plate.

4. Attach the multiport cable to the communications module and refit the metal plate by sliding it into place.

5. Slide the communications module back into your Genius Countertop until both flexible tabs click.

6. The 12V power adapter connects your Genius Countertop to a power source. To attach the 12V power adapter to the multiport cable, complete the following steps:
1. Make sure that the communications module is correctly inserted into your Genius Countertop.
2. Insert the 12V power adapter into the +12VDC port on the multiport cable.
3. Plug the 12V power adapter into a power socket. Your Genius Countertop should turn on.

7. Insert one end of the network cable into an available port on your router or switch.

8. Insert the other end of the network cable into the Ethernet port on the multiport cable.

Setting Up The iPad

1. Open your Shoptiques POS App and clock yourself in.

2. Tap on the settings menu within the app.

3. Select Cards Processing.

4. Toggle on Cayan Integrated.

5. Enter your Merchant Name, Site ID, and Merchant Key (emailed to you by Cayan) into the iPad fields.

6. Click Save Changes.

Connect Your POS To Your Terminal

1. From the home screen of your Cayan Countertop, use the keypad to press 000.

2. Type the password and then press Enter. The default password is 9416557.

3. Your Genius Countertop displays the Administration page.

4. On the Administration page, you will see your device's IP address.

5. On the cards processing page in your POS app, type the IP address displayed on your Genius Countertop in the field labeled Device Address.

6. Once you've typed it in, tap on save changes.

7. To exit the administration page on your terminal, press cancel.

8. You can now process cards.
