How To Create and Manage Low Stock Alerts

Learn how to create and manage Stock Alerts to monitor inventory levels and identify products that need to be reordered before they sell out.

Stock Alerts

Stock Alerts help you stay on top of inventory by notifying you when a product's quantity falls below a specified threshold. By setting low stock alerts, you can quickly identify products that need to be reordered before they sell out.

Stock Alerts are especially useful for monitoring best-selling products, seasonal inventory, and everyday essentials to help prevent stockouts and maintain healthy inventory levels.

Creating a Stock Alert

  1. Navigate to Inventory
  1. Locate and open the product you would like to monitor
  1. Find the Low Stock Alert or field and turn it on
  1. Enter the minimum quantity you would like to keep on hand
  1. Click Save to apply the alert
  1. Once the product's available quantity falls below the threshold you set, it will automatically appear in your low stock alerts

Viewing Low Stock Alerts

  1. Navigate to the Inventory section.
  1. Open Stock Alerts
  1. Review products that have fallen below their configured thresholds
  1. Add the product directly to a Purchase Order or adjust stock levels as needed
