INSTRUCTIONS
- Navigate to your customer list in your POS web app, or click on this link: https://app.materialretail.com/customers
- Search for a customer with a duplicate profile.

- Click on the customer to open up the customer details page.
- At the top right side of the screen, you will see a new button that says "Merge Customer". Click on this to start the merging process.

- In the popup, you will see the customer you've selected to be merged and a search bar. Search for the customer you want to merge this profile with and select it from the dropdown.


- Check that you are merging the duplicate profile into the main profile. (We recommend merging the customer profile with less information/sales history into the customer profile with more information/sales history.

- To swap which profile is merging into the other, click the "Switch" button at the top of the customer field.

- Once you have confirmed you are merging the correct profiles, click the Merge Customers button at the bottom right corner of the pop up.

- Confirm once more that you would like to merge these two profiles together by clicking the red Confirm button.

- If the merge was successful, you will see a green pop up at the top of your screen that says "Merge Successful" and you will see the new combined customer profile.
NOTE: Once you've merged profiles, the duplicate profile is deleted and all information from the deleted profile will transfer into the main customer profile. This action cannot be undone.
